With dozens of family-owned and commercial vineyards along Mendoza's Ruta de Vinos, wine enthusiasts can participate in harvests, enjoy wine-pairing dinners in local restaurants, take guided tours and wine tastings at world re known wineries and select from top vintages produced in this region. Bianchi, Suter, La Abeja, and Iacarinni bodegas have excellent daily tours, to name just a few. The grilled meats of Argentina are legendary throughout the world, and the asado, grilling over fire, is the perfect way to enjoy these prime cuts, along with the typical regional preparations of empanadas, humitas and clay-oven baked breads. And not to be missed is a visit to one of the three olive oil factories of San Rafael, again for tours and tastings of the delicious local and aromatic extra virgin offerings.

Guided tours to touristic spots are easily arranged through the many professional travel agencies in San Rafael. Circuits include visits to ancient ruins of the Incas, scenic drives into the nearby mountain areas, tours of historical sites such as the fort of Villa 25 de Mayo dating from the 1800's, and walking tours of the city's historical center. Not to miss is the Museum of Natural History, the Train Museum and the Casa Burgos.
From fishing and kayaking on Valle Grande's huge lake, just 1/2 hour by car, to para gliding, zip-lining, and rock climbing, there are activities for all ages. Guided horseback rides are easily arranged, both for the experienced rider to the newly initiated. Mountain biking is another popular local sport, with bicycle rentals available throughout the city. Since our property is in the countryside, quiet walks along the tree-covered roads is a relaxing activity and give the visitor a chance to mix and mingle with nearby residents. Golf, tennis and even polo are available in well-maintained clubs close by.
